Alumni Reunion a Success!
The 2007 WBC Business Alumni Reunion was a success! We ate approximately 100 Dexter Bar-B-Que sandwiches while we reminisced about the good ole days of taking Business Policy and PBL trips and competitions.
Approximately 60 alumni attended the reunion. Wesley Bridges from the late 80's traveled from Fort Worth, Texas and Neal Wimberly, from the late 90's, stopped by after playing in the alumni basketball game. There was a Rod McQuerter sighting late in the reunion. Rod also played in the alumni basketball game. April Barnett attended the reunion with her newborn son, JR, and her mother, Roxanne. Ryan Barnett is a Captain in the US Army and he is stationed in Iraq.
Many alumni from the 2000's were there. The Acxiom men, Dustin Hartung, Tim Byers and Ambex Gebremariam, attended the reunion. Shauna Lingle traveled from Illinois, Matt Smith traveled from Tennessee, and Stephen Easter came into town from Michigan. Aaron Camps brought his wife, Sara, and his son, Noah. Kayce Brown also brought his family: wife, Abby and two sons, Konner and Kolton. Many others were there as well.
Kyle Rockett was also there and he brought gifts with him. He presented Grant DeProw a new and improved "spinner" watch to replace the one that broke during the Business Law class several years ago. Kyle also is the first alum to donate money to PBL. Thank you Kyle!
The current PBL members were a very important part of this reunion. They sold t-shirts, decorated the Student Center, served sodas and greeted alumni at the doors. Many thanks to all PBL members who helped make the alumni reunion a success!
Thanks also go to Chris Lawrey for developing our slide show; Jacob Corkran for designing our new website; Andy Miller for being the DJ; Lindsey Wilson for taking the pictures; and Grant DeProw and the Lilly & DeProw
Law Firm for sponsoring the bar-b-que lunch.
